Another Perfect Day — David MacDowell, 2010

David MacDowell weaves images of consumption and commercialism in this 2010 acrylic on canvas piece exhibited at Culver City’s Thinkspace Gallery. Set in the not-so-veiled alternate universe of “Miseryland”, this great piece includes references to Disney characters, fast food franchises, cartoons of the 1960’s, Charles Manson, and Hollywood epics such as Lord Of The Rings And Titanic.
